About me...

My name is Sandi Tygar and you have found My Brave Soul.  This is my blog about all the artsy things happening in my life, peppered with a post or two (or three) about life.

I am a mixed-media artist.

Prior to finding mixed media,  I was strictly a scrapbooker.  In 2009 I was introduced to Brave Girls Club by a good friend.  I signed up for the daily 'Little birdie" emails, and quickly fell in love with Melody Ross and her teachings.

Between Soul Restoration 1 and 2, and Brave Girls Camp, I chose to embark on a journey in the art world, learning as much as I could about that world by scouring the internet, communing with other artists and taking class after class.

I get asked a lot if I miss scrapbooking.  And quite honestly, at this point in my life, I do not.  I created my last layout in April 2011, and that layout ended up being my most favorite of all - it's based on the 12 Steps.

I use a lot of the same supplies in the type of art I'm doing now, so I try not to feel guilty... LOL

I started this blog when I started Soul Restoration1.  I love to look back and see the different phases I've gone through.  My fingers itch to delete some of the things that look terrible in my eyes, but they were all part of my incredible journey.

I am filled with gratitude toward my Higher Power, the Fellowship of AA, Melody and Kathy, and all my friends - they know who they are.  They all came together in a perfect storm... and I am the result.
