Giveaway!!! Yay!

You know how I get when I get excited.  I bounce (yes, just like a tigger), and I say 'Yay' a LOT.  Well, I'm bouncing and yaying all over the dang place.

I have the coolest giveaway... a copy of Melody Ross's amazing book 'A Little Bird Told Me', a collection of Melody's beloved Little Bird daily truth messages.

If you are a Brave Girl, you are well aware of the daily Little Bird emails - I love them, and I can't tell you how often over the past few years I've actually emailed Melody and Kathy to ask them if they somehow planted a hidden camera in my home... so many times that Little Birdie hit that nail right on the head.

If you aren't aware of Brave Girls Club, then you really need to be...

I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt, it changed my life.  The woman you see today is a very different woman than the one that existed (and I mean the word existed literally) prior to 2009.  As I indicated in my 'about me' page here on My Brave Soul, many things came together to create the Sandi you know today.  Brave Girls Club, Melody and Kathy played a major role in that perfect storm.

Just so you know, just typing the word storm and sandi in the same paragraph gave me izzures.

Going to Brave Girls Camp was a dream come true... if you've ever wondered what it's all about, you can read my Camp story here...

So now for the giveaway part.  In order to be eligible to win, you must leave a comment here answering this question:

What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail?

For an extra entry - link my blog on facebook and/or twitter, and leave me another comment here telling me that you've done that.

And for an even MORE extra entry, start following my blog and again, leave me a comment here that you are a new follower!

The winner will be randomly drawn on Thanksgiving Day.  Make sure you give me your contact information in your comment!

  10. If I knew I couldn't fail then I would never hold back. I would be more sure of myself and step out of my comfort zone and do so many things that I think I couldn't or shouldn't. I would be a better mom and have 5 more kids like my kids beg me to do!
I think "if I couldn't fail" was possible, then more people I think would be free spirited and not so uptight and workaholics.
With God all things are possible, which to me means you can't fail but its getting to that comfort level..

  25. If I knew I couldn't fail? Hmmmmm.....I honestly don't know the answer to that. I guess I'm a brave soul. Apprehension is not a struggle of mine. I hope that doesn't sound arrogant because I am completely in awe of the gifts God has given me. I think what makes me different than most women is that I recognize those things that make me unique. As women we so often listen to the lies whispered to us daily instead of embracing ourselves and jumping. My hope and prayer is that the woman who needs this book most will receive it and that is not me. Good luck you beautiful women!

  34. What would I do...I would start a small movement to bring art back to schools. They don't get exposed to even a quarter of what I did when I was in elementary school and if you don't have a parent that likes art you get very little support at home. Thank you for the chance to win!

  35. Great question!!! I am on the verge of starting a new life and really need my brave girls boots right now, so I guess that would be my answer. I also started an online business this year (which I love).

  36. What would I do, if I knew I would not fail....hmmmmmm Well I am working on something and it has to do with people buying my art (and maybe a few others' too that are on board) , not with money but by being of service in their community, church or just to a neighbor. That is the little "What if" The big "What if" would be doing some work camps where you build houses, water supplies etc for those in need. It would be a test on where my health is but what a joy it would be to just not worry about health and go for it!!! ps. I already have this book so please don't put my name in the for the drawing, I just loved your question and it got me thinking this morning. Thank you Sunshine!!!

  37. I think I'd try anything! But, I would go back to school and work on my abandoned dream of being a Speech Therapist. Thank you for the chance to win, Sandi! You are a wonderful Brave Girl <3

  38. Hmmmmm... Well, there is not much I let stop me when I'm determined... but there is one thing I've never done... bot because I was afraid of traditional failure, but because I have always been worried that I would no longer love it if it became a "job"... and that's marketing and selling my crafty crap. If I knew I would continue to find peace and fulfillment from crafting while making money doing it, I would do it in a heart beat.

    ReplyDelete
  39. That's a tough question! If I knew I wouldnt fail, I would stop being so defendant on everyone else. I would take the initiative and get a job, drive, be more socially active. Anyway. Tigger I think you are amazing and so so inspiring!

  40. If I knew that there was no way I would fail, I would probably go searching for a new job and move somewhere new and make a fresh start. I dream of living near the ocean or in a big city...but I find myself often approaching life from a place of fear, which makes these things seem impossible.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Also, I am a new follower of your blog. I found you via Melody and the BGC. I just finished SR1 last month and really enjoyed it.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Wow...that took some thinking. I would stop reading so many paretning advice books and just follow my own instincts. Wouldnt it be great to know that we couldnt "fail" at raising our children? :)

    ReplyDelete
  43. what would I do if I knew I couldn't fail: move out & on, go back to school, change jobs... my biggest thing in life right now is trying to figure out how to be become independent ... R

    ReplyDelete
  44. If I knew I couldn't fail I don't think that there is very much that I wouldn't try. I would create Art everyday, I would travel, I would experience new things.

    ReplyDelete
  45. If I knew that I couldn't fail, I would start a crafty company. I would love to spend my "work" hours creating beautiful and fun stuff that other people would like to use in their own crafting. :)

    ReplyDelete
  46. Nowwww you KNOW I'm not a NEW follower!!! But... I will share your post and link it. What would I do... well... IF I knew I would NOT fail... hmmmm... I'd reopen my "physical" store and be soooo busy teaching again that I wouldn't have time to be on FB EVER again!!! LOL How's that??? I seriously am not on that much but some days I DO have more time than I want to be on it. AND Pinterest. LOL Thanks for a chance!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Quit my job and take a month or two to get myself together - spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally. Then I'd look for another job - one where my gifts and talents would be respected and valued. And I wouldn't accept a job unless I thought they would be valued!
Thanks for a chance to get this book!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Hm. My Tigger, I'm not sure I'd do a lot different. I'd just do more of it!! LOL!!! If you're too afraid to fail, you're too afraid to fly....

    ReplyDelete
  49. If I knew I could not fail, I would share with more people. I would open my mouth more often when the thought crosses my mind to reach out and say something. I would be more open and vulnerable. I would do everything with more love, quiet confidence, and I would be unhurried about it all.

Love this question, Sandi. Got me thinking in a good direction. And, what a GREAT giveaway! I love Brave Girls everywhere!

  53. I would buy an inn with space big enough for a glitterage and have art camps all year long. And all my BG's could come and play anytime they wanted. :)

  54. I used to say I'd try anything at least once. I had to change my mantra after trying to swing into a lake on a rope swing and landing on a rocky beach instead (no broken bones but hobbled on bruised heels for months!) Now, I will try anything that does not require massive amounts of upper body strength!! LOL

Seriously, if I knew I could not fail I would start my own travel company/art exploration combo. That would be so fun!!

  60. You know, I've been thinking of this answer all day now. And part of me starts dreaming big and wants to say if I didn't have to worry about failing, I would quit my job tomorrow and make art all day and night. Build my business and teach online - hell, maybe even travel and have workshops all over the place.

But then that core part of me raises her head and says I WILL quit my job (maybe not tomorrow but one day I WILL) and I WILL build my business and teach online and...well I'll work on the travel part cause I REALLY hate to fly.

So what would I do if I didn't have to worry about failing? Nothing cause I'm already doing it baybee!

  63. ....If I couldn't fail I would have to start believing in my gifts and my abilities...I've always gone for my little dreams and achieved quite a few...but I have a real problem believing in my abilities and what I do. So I would sit and read this gorgeous little book again and again while I let the wise words wash over me in my quest for self belief! Thank you x x

  64. If I knew I couldn't fail I would try anything. the world would be my oyster. I have been told thru all my childhood that I couldn't do things, that I was useless, I never got any praise, I had no self worth. even with many years of psychiatry it is still hard to shake. I get embarrassed to show anything I have made or done in fear that someone wont like it. I would so love this class. thank you for the opportunity. my email is lurabrown@gmail.com
